EOD Pin Structure Command Manual

Full operator manual for deciding whether an EOD pin can be traded as a new butterfly using distance, time windows, Charm, Omega, structure, and local mass.

EOD Pin Structure Command Manual

1. Purpose

The EOD Pin Structure Command is the decision layer for end-of-day pin butterfly trades.

It is not the raw pin engine.

It is not the Compass.

It is not the chart.

It is the heavy-duty filter that answers the most important question:

Can this current EOD pin actually be traded as a new butterfly right now?

The EOD Pin Structure Command combines:

EOD Pin body / wings / confidence
time window
distance from pin
day structure
Charm
Omega
Local Mass / defense
asset rules
reviewed historical behavior

It turns all of that into a simple command:

TAKE_PIN
WAIT
NO_TRADE

The short version:

EOD Pin Magnets tell us what the pin is.
EOD Pin Structure Command tells us whether the pin is worth trading.
EOD Pin Compass tells us how price is behaving around the active pin zone.

2. Why We Need This Module

A high-confidence EOD pin is not automatically a trade.

Example:

ES PIN: 7260
CONF: 85%

That looks strong, but it can still be a bad trade if:

price is already too close to the pin
the time window is wrong
Charm is blocking the return
Omega is escaping away from the pin
the pin is not near real structure
the asset is not approved
local mass says the path is wrong

The Structure Command prevents one of the biggest mistakes in 0DTE EOD butterflies:

Buying the fly after the opportunity has already collapsed into the body.

The engine exists to separate:

Valid pin
from
Tradable pin
from
Already too late

3. The Three EOD Pin Panels

There are three different panels because they answer three different questions.

3.1 EOD Pin Magnets

Question:

What is the pin?

Shows:

PIN
WINGS
CONFIDENCE

Example:

ES PIN 7260
WINGS 7255 / 7265
CONF 85%

This panel defines the possible butterfly.

It does not decide whether to enter.

3.2 EOD Pin Structure Command

Question:

Should I take a new butterfly?

Shows:

Score
Decision
Pin
Wings
Distance
Confidence
Time Window
Reason
Charm Read
Structure Cluster
Omega Read

Example:

ES
35
NO_TRADE

PIN: 7260
WINGS: 7255 / 7265
DIST: 3.75
CONF: 85%
WINDOW: 10:00

PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN
CHARM: CHARM NEUTRAL
STRUCTURE: ZERO GAMMA
OMEGA: OMEGA_NEUTRAL

This is the new-entry gate.

3.3 EOD Pin Compass

Question:

How is price behaving around the active pin zone?

Shows:

PIN ZONE
PIN FAILURE UP
PIN FAILURE DOWN
RECLAIM REQUIRED
REJECT REQUIRED
SCALP ONLY
NO NEW BUTTERFLY

This is for execution and management around the pin.

4. Main Decision Outputs

4.1 TAKE_PIN

TAKE_PIN

Meaning:

The setup is structurally valid.
The pin is tradeable as a new butterfly.

Usually requires:

asset is approved
time window is approved
pin confidence is high enough
price is far enough from the pin
Charm supports or does not block return
Omega supports or does not fight return
pin is near meaningful day structure
local mass does not contradict the setup

Action:

Consider the butterfly.
Use normal risk controls.
Do not overpay.

4.2 WAIT

WAIT

Meaning:

The pin may be valid, but the full trade condition is not ready.

Common reasons:

VALID_BUT_NEEDS_CONFIRMATION
CONDITIONAL_WINDOW
PIN FORMING
OMEGA not aligned
Charm neutral
structure incomplete
price needs better distance

Action:

Do not enter yet.
Watch for improvement.

4.3 NO_TRADE

NO_TRADE

Meaning:

Do not open a new butterfly.

Common reasons:

PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN
PIN_CONFIDENCE_TOO_LOW
ASSET_QUARANTINED_BY_REVIEW
CHARM_BLOCKS_RETURN
OMEGA_ESCAPE_RISK
INSUFFICIENT_STRUCTURE
NO_RETURN_CONFIRMATION
AVOID_WINDOW

Action:

Stand down.
Do not force the pin.

5. Main Display Fields

5.1 Asset

Example:

ES
NQ
RTY

Current rules:

ES:
    approved

NQ:
approved with wider wings and wider distance

RTY:
quarantined / no trade for now

5.2 Structure Score

Example:

35
37
71
82

The score is a combined measure of:

timeScore
distanceScore
confidenceScore
charmScore
structureScore
omegaScore
localMassScore

General interpretation:

75+:
    TAKE_PIN candidate

55–74:
    WAIT / needs confirmation

below 55:
    NO_TRADE

Important:

Hard vetoes can override the score.

Example:

Score might be decent,
but if price is too close to pin,
decision becomes NO_TRADE.

5.3 Pin

Example:

PIN: 7260

The body strike of the butterfly.

This should match the EOD Pin Magnet card.

If EOD Pin Magnet says:

PIN 7260

Structure Command should also say:

PIN: 7260

If they disagree, one of the panels is stale or using the wrong source.

5.4 Wings

Example:

WINGS: 7255 / 7265

The lower and upper wings of the butterfly.

For ES, wings may be tighter.

For NQ, wings must be wider.

Example:

NQ PIN: 27920
WINGS: 27870 / 27970

NQ needs more room because 20–30 points is noise on NQ.

5.5 Distance

Example:

DIST: 3.75
DIST: 21.25

Distance is the absolute distance between tape and pin.

This is one of the most important filters.

A butterfly is attractive when price is far enough from the body that the fly is still cheap.

If price is already near the body:

NO_TRADE
PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN

Current working thresholds:

ES:
    minimum distance: about 6 points
    good distance: about 10 points

NQ:
    minimum distance: about 40 points
    good distance: about 70 points

RTY:
    no trade for now

Example:

ES PIN: 7260
Tape: 7256.25
Distance: 3.75

Read:

Too close.
No new butterfly edge.

5.6 Confidence

Example:

CONF: 85%

Confidence comes from the EOD Pin Magnet engine.

General interpretation:

0–30%:
    weak / ignore

30–55%:
    low quality

55–75%:
    valid candidate

75%+:
    strong candidate

Minimums:

ES:
    about 55%

NQ:
    about 45%

RTY:
    not approved

High confidence alone is not enough.

5.7 Window

Example:

WINDOW: 10:00
WINDOW: 11:00
WINDOW: 15:00

Window tells the fixed review-based time zone.

The review work showed that not all times are equal.

Current rule set:

ES:
    best: 10:00 and 11:00
    conditional: 12:00
    weak: 14:00
    late/special only: 15:00

NQ:
    best: 11:00
    conditional: 10:00, 12:00, 14:00
    avoid: 15:00

RTY:
    no trade

The later we wait, the more expensive and less lottery-like the butterfly becomes.

5.8 Reason

Example:

PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN
PIN_CONFIDENCE_TOO_LOW
VALID_BUT_NEEDS_CONFIRMATION
INSUFFICIENT_STRUCTURE
NO_RETURN_CONFIRMATION
CHARM_BLOCKS_RETURN
OMEGA_ESCAPE_RISK

Reason explains why the decision was made.

The reason matters more than the score.

Example:

Score: 37
Decision: NO_TRADE
Reason: PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN

This means the pin may be good, but the trade is not good.

5.9 Charm Read

Example:

CHARM: CHARM NEUTRAL
CHARM: CHARM SUPPORTS PIN RETURN
CHARM: CHARM BLOCKS PIN RETURN

Charm checks dealer floor/ceiling pressure.

Charm is important because it can tell whether dealer pressure supports a return to the pin or blocks it.

Interpretation:

CHARM SUPPORTS PIN RETURN:
    positive for butterfly

CHARM MODERATELY SUPPORTIVE:
    acceptable with other confirmation

CHARM NEUTRAL:
    not enough by itself

CHARM BLOCKS PIN RETURN:
    hard warning / no trade

5.10 Structure Cluster

Example:

STRUCTURE: ZERO GAMMA
STRUCTURE: PDH + SESSION HIGH + KZ CEILING
STRUCTURE: PIVOT + GAP TOP + SESSION LOW

This shows the chart structures near the pin.

Good structures include:

Zero Gamma
PDH / PDL
PWH / PWL
Opening Range High / Mid / Low
Session High / Mid / Low
Gap Top / Gap Bottom
GEX Call / Put
KZ Floor / Ceiling
Omega
Charm Floor / Ceiling
Pivot

A pin near multiple structures is more meaningful.

But structure can be supportive or blocking depending on side.

Example:

NQ PIN near PDH + SESSION HIGH + KZ CEILING

This may be strong structure, but if price needs to return upward into resistance without Omega/Charm support, it may still be a no-trade.

5.11 Omega Read

Example:

OMEGA: OMEGA_NEUTRAL
OMEGA: OMEGA_REVERSION_SUPPORTS_PIN
OMEGA: OMEGA_CHECKPOINT_NEAR_PIN
OMEGA: OMEGA_ESCAPE_RISK

Omega is the timing/pressure filter.

Good for pin return:

OMEGA_REVERSION_SUPPORTS_PIN
OMEGA_CHECKPOINT_NEAR_PIN
OMEGA_NEUTRAL

Bad for pin return:

OMEGA_ESCAPE_RISK

Omega does not choose the pin.

Omega tells whether the current tape pressure supports returning to the pin.

6. How the Score Is Built

The Structure Command score combines several component scores.

6.1 Time Score

Time score checks whether the current window is historically approved.

Examples:

ES 10:00:
    strong time score

NQ 11:00:
    strong time score

NQ 15:00:
    negative / avoid

RTY:
    quarantined

6.2 Distance Score

Distance score checks whether price is far enough from the pin.

too close:
    negative / no trade

minimum distance reached:
    valid

good distance reached:
    stronger

This is the filter that stops buying butterflies when price is already sitting on the body.

6.3 Confidence Score

Confidence score comes from EOD Pin confidence.

high confidence:
    positive

valid confidence:
    moderate positive

low confidence:
    negative / no trade

6.4 Charm Score

Charm score checks whether dealer pressure supports the return.

Charm supports return:
    positive

Charm neutral:
    little or no boost

Charm blocks return:
    negative / hard veto

6.5 Structure Score

Structure score checks how many meaningful structures are near the pin.

many structures:
    stronger

one structure:
    modest

no structure:
    weak

But structure must be interpreted. A cluster can be support, resistance, or a trap zone.

6.6 Omega Score

Omega score checks whether the Omega state supports the return to pin.

reversion toward pin:
    positive

checkpoint near pin:
    positive

neutral:
    small/no effect

escape away:
    negative

6.7 Local Mass Score

Local Mass checks whether the pin/level has real defense.

moderate/defended/heavy at pin:
    can support magnet behavior

heavy wall blocking path:
    can be bad

glass path:
    can allow travel

Local Mass should be used carefully because context matters.

7. Hard Vetoes

Hard vetoes override the score.

7.1 Price Too Close to Pin

PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN

This means:

The pin may be correct.
The butterfly is not attractive.
Price is already too close to the body.

Action:

No new butterfly.
Use Compass / scalp / settlement management only.

7.2 Confidence Too Low

PIN_CONFIDENCE_TOO_LOW

This means:

The pin is not strong enough.

Action:

No trade.

7.3 Charm Blocks Return

CHARM_BLOCKS_RETURN

This means:

Dealer pressure is blocking the path back to the pin.

Action:

No trade unless the blocking charm wall breaks.

7.4 Asset Quarantined

ASSET_QUARANTINED_BY_REVIEW

Current example:

RTY

Action:

No EOD pin butterfly.
Keep logging, but do not trade it.

7.5 Omega Escape Risk

OMEGA_ESCAPE_RISK

This means:

Price may be escaping away from the pin.

Action:

Do not force return-to-pin.

8. Asset Rules

8.1 ES

ES is currently the strongest product for EOD pin structure trades.

Rules:

Best windows:
    10:00
    11:00

Conditional:
    12:00

Weak:
    14:00

Late/special:
    15:00

Minimum distance:
    about 6 points

Good distance:
    about 10 points

Minimum confidence:
    about 55%

ES can use tighter wings than NQ.

8.2 NQ

NQ is tradeable, but it must use wider wings and wider distance.

Rules:

Best window:
    11:00

Conditional:
    10:00
    12:00
    14:00

Avoid:
    15:00

Minimum distance:
    about 40 points

Good distance:
    about 70 points

Minimum confidence:
    about 45%

NQ cannot be judged like ES.

A 20–30 point miss on NQ may still be normal.

8.3 RTY

RTY is currently quarantined.

Rule:

Do not trade RTY EOD pin butterflies from this model yet.

Reason:

Review did not show reliable enough behavior.
Expiration structure and target behavior may need separate treatment.

9. Time Window Logic

9.1 Discovery

Before the pin is stable.

Action:

No trade.
Watch candidate formation.

9.2 Early Stalk

Possible early trade if structure is strong.

Best for:

ES around 10:00

Action:

Small, cheap, only with strong structure.

9.3 Prime Entry

Best balance between price and confirmation.

Best for:

ES 10:00–11:00
NQ 11:00

Action:

Trade only if Structure Command says TAKE_PIN.

9.4 Conditional

Can work but requires stronger agreement.

Examples:

ES 12:00
NQ 10:00 / 12:00 / 14:00

Action:

Only A-quality setups.

9.5 Late Settlement

Late-day pin behavior may be more accurate, but the butterfly is often no longer cheap.

Action:

scalp / settlement management
avoid normal new lottery fly

10. How to Use It Live

Step 1 — Check Pin Magnet

Ask:

What is the pin?
What are the wings?
What is the confidence?

Step 2 — Check Structure Command

Ask:

Does it say TAKE_PIN, WAIT, or NO_TRADE?

This is the main new-entry decision.

Step 3 — Read the Reason

Do not stop at the score.

Read the reason.

Example:

PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN

Means:

pin may be valid
trade is not valid

Step 4 — Check Distance

Ask:

Is price far enough from the pin?

If no:

NO_TRADE

Step 5 — Check Time Window

Ask:

Is this one of the approved windows for this asset?

If no:

WAIT or NO_TRADE

Step 6 — Check Charm

Ask:

Does Charm support or block return?

If Charm blocks:

NO_TRADE

Step 7 — Check Omega

Ask:

Is Omega supporting return or escaping away?

If escaping away:

NO_TRADE or WAIT

Step 8 — Use Compass for Management

If price is inside the pin zone:

NO NEW BUTTERFLY
SCALP ONLY

11. Example Reads

Example 1 — ES Too Close

ES
Score: 35
Decision: NO_TRADE

PIN: 7260
WINGS: 7255 / 7265
DIST: 3.75
CONF: 85%
WINDOW: 10:00

Reason:
PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN

Read:

The pin is valid.
The confidence is strong.
The time is good.
But price is too close to the pin.
No new butterfly.

Action:

Stand down.
Use Compass / scalp-only if needed.

Example 2 — NQ Too Close

NQ
Score: 37
Decision: NO_TRADE

PIN: 27920
WINGS: 27870 / 27970
DIST: 21.25
CONF: 85%
WINDOW: 10:00

Reason:
PRICE_TOO_CLOSE_TO_PIN

Read:

For NQ, 21 points is still too close.
NQ needs wider distance, usually around 40+ points.

Action:

No new butterfly.

Example 3 — Valid ES Candidate

ES
PIN: 7270
WINGS: 7265 / 7275
DIST: 9.50
CONF: 85%
WINDOW: 10:00
CHARM: SUPPORTS PIN RETURN
STRUCTURE: ZERO GAMMA + OR MID + OMEGA
OMEGA: REVERSION SUPPORTS PIN

Read:

This may be a TAKE_PIN candidate.

Action:

Consider butterfly if pricing and risk are acceptable.

Example 4 — Structure Present But No Return Confirmation

NQ
PIN near PDH + SESSION HIGH + KZ CEILING
Omega neutral
Charm neutral
Distance valid

Read:

Structure exists, but return confirmation is weak.

Action:

WAIT or NO_TRADE depending on score.

12. What Not to Do

Do not trade only because confidence is high.

Do not trade if price is already inside the pin zone.

Do not trade if distance is too small.

Do not trade RTY from this model.

Do not trade NQ like ES.

Do not ignore Charm blocking return.

Do not force pin return when Omega shows escape risk.

Do not treat Structure Command and Compass as the same thing.

13. Final Operating Summary

The EOD Pin Structure Command is the serious decision layer.

It turns this:

I see a pin.
Should I buy the butterfly?

into this:

Is the asset approved?
Is the time window valid?
Is the pin confident?
Is price far enough away?
Is Charm supportive?
Is Omega supportive?
Is the pin near real structure?
Is Local Mass acceptable?
Is the Compass outside the pin zone?

Final rule:

The pin is the idea.
The Structure Command is the permission.
The Compass is the management.
